Bloomington, Illinois (December 30, 2006) – The Nobis Technology Group, LLC (www.nobistech.net), holding company of recently merged DarkStar Communications and Ubiquity Hosting Solutions, has announced that it has opened offices in Ubiquity’s hometown at 510 E. Washington, Third Floor, Suite 322, in Bloomington, Illinois.

These new offices will operate as a central headquarters for handling the administrative tasks associated with either brand, as well as the staging ground for each localized Ubiquity facility being rolled out in 2007.

The Nobis Technology Group has acted to give back to the community by leasing space inside a very historic building in the local community of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, which is now maintained by Bloomington’s Mount Mariah Christian Church, and shared by various community programs and area businesses.

Bloomington, Illinois (December 1, 2006) – Ubiquity Hosting Solutions (www.ubiquityhosting.com), provider of collocation, dedicated, shared, and virtual server hosting, and DarkStar Communications (www.darkstarllc.com), provider of Ventrilo, Teamspeak, game server, IRCd, and shell hosting, have announced a merger which will maintain both companies as brands under a new parent company known as the Nobis Technology Group (www.nobistech.net) – a new Illinois Limited Liability Corporation.

While DarkStar Communications currently operates servers in 20 cities in 11 different countries, making them one of the most diverse hosts online of any niche, as well as one of the largest voice communications services online in both Ventrilo and Teamspeak markets. Ubiquity has made it’s focus on just one location to date, building up it’s presence offering diverse b2b IT services from 350 E. Cermak in Chicago, before moving towards it’s first expansion by opening collocation at 1950 N. Stemmons Highway in Dallas last summer. DarkStar Communications’ General Manager Jake Mertel commented on the merger:

“This (merger) means a lot of things for a lot of people. Both companies obviously benefit massively in the boost of both economies of scope as well as economies of scale, but that’s only the start. The pieces fit perfectly to allow either half of the puzzle to a caliber of international services never before seen in the hosting industry. ”

Nobis has made it clear that they will be doing little to tamper with their current services (unlike many recent mergers in the hosting industry), due to the scarcely overlapping scope of either company’s current services. The company will instead be building upon its current offerings, utilizing the resources that either organization is able to bring to the table. Ubiquity’s Chief Technical Officer Clint Chapman elaborated regarding plans for the future:
